Description

Scenario models for projecting woody biomass resources from Danish forests have been developed. The results provide insights on the effects of multiple silvicultural measures and how they both individually and collectively influence forests and development of both potential harvest and resources in the forest in terms of living biomass and carbon pools. Scenario modelling uses estimates from the National Forest Inventory as direct input for national scale simulations, and the results are key input to current discussions on future forest policy and strategic development of forest management in both private and public forests in Denmark.
